On introducing Ed Dorn, old friend, and writing professor, 28 years later at the 16th Annual Taos Poetry Circus

Like all great shows

There was a moment of brightness

Like a natural smile

Just before the performance began,

And again right after

 

It was great fun,

        as they say,

And since I only get

   to do this

Once in a life time

 

I hope we can do this

   again, anyway,

In another life time, if necessary

 

Only next time

I get to be Ed Dorn
