      dragon trails

            "all over this land"

saw red flowers
tulips i thought in a window across the street

      a few minutes passed

      the elephant fell in love with a millimeter

                        & they were gone

it made me sneeze
being the past     elegiac tense

      there was some green left
      the stalks

                              still stalking you
                              on vapor trails

      all over this head   full of sky
