Language & Encoding
A Symposium for Artists, Programmers, & Scholars

Registration

Attendance at all Symposium events is free. Meals are optional (nominal charge). Note: Registration with lunch is no longer available. You may register "without meals" or you may register "with dinner" ($10).

Evening events (Hallwalls, Big Orbit) - No Registration

Attendance at the Symposium evening events is on a space-available basis and requires no registration. We encourage you to arrive early for evening events.

Saturday Panels (Butler House) - Registration Required

Note: Even though attendance is free, we encourage you to register in advance as seating is limited. In the case of too many attendees, preference will be given to those who have registered in advance. If space is available, registration on the day of the Symposium will also be accepted.

Two options for registration for Saturday panels are possible: (1) You may register for attendance only at Language & Encoding (free), or; (2) You may register for attendance with meals ($20 includes both lunch and dinner on Saturday) at Language & Encoding. (Note: Only "dinner only" ($10) remains available.)

To register, please send an -mail mesage to Lori Emerson <lemerson@buffalo.edu>, Registration Coordinator for the Symposium. In your message, state:

-- Your name, address, and academic affiliation
-- Indicate whether you choose "attendance only" or "attendance with meals"

If you choose to dine with us, the $20 fee is payable in cash on the morning of the Saturday panels and will cover two meals on Saturday, a chef-prepared luncheon (from the Park Lane, one of Buffalo's finest restaurants) at the panels site and an ample and varied buffet dinner with choice of meats and/or salad and vegetables (conveniently located adjacent to the evening event) with full cash bar. (Note: Only "dinner only" ($10) remains available.) Lunch and dinner opportunities in the geographic area of the Symposium are limited so we encourage you to maximize your conference time by choosing "attendance with meals". In addition, we encourage you to dine with the symposium speakers as we expect that conversations about presentations will extend into the informal spaces that meals allow.
