Mary Begley is a Buffalo native raised in Saratoga County, New York. Begley returned to her hometown to acquire her MFA from the State University of New York. In 1998, she was awarded a painting fellowship from the New York Foundation for the Arts. Her work has appeared in Buffalo at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, the Burchfield-Penney Art Center, the Arts Council, Big Orbit, Art Dialogue, and Impact Gallery, as well as at Deep Space Gallery in New York City and the Vanderbilt Museum at Centerport, New York.

Coyle and Sharpe are James P. Coyle and Mal Sharpe, two legendary pranksters. Much can be learned about them at the Coyle and Sharpe homepage.

Robert Creeley keeps on trucking, albeit in no particular direction. EN FAMILLE (with photographer Elsa Dorfman) is his most recent work.

David Daniels lives in Berkeley, CA. The DELUXE BOZO SCROLL is from his poem THE GATES OF PARADISE, which can currently be viewed in its entirety at David's homepage (which will soon be found at its permanent home) and was formerly available at the sadly crashed Ubuweb. He has been making words out of pictures and pictures out of words for over 60 years. He is a common person. He is as common as dirt and grass. He tries to do things for the sake of doing them. When he says he will do something he does it until it is done.

Doug Nufer mostly writes fiction based on formal constraints. A bit of his novel Never Again, where no word appears more than once, appears in Oulipo Compendium, ed. by Harry Mathews. His story exploiting forms suggested by newspaper publishing, "Restraining Order" is forthcoming from two girls press (Portland, Or.) in the Northwest Edge anthology.

Mark Peters is the editor of Deluxe Rubber Chicken and a five-ball jugggler who can perform, with difficulty, a 4-ball Mill's Mess. During the summer, Mark is a cabin counselor at Cradle Beach Camp in Angola, NY.

Sal Salasin is author of Stepping Out the Plane Under the Protection of the Army (Another Chicago Press:1989) and Optima Suavidad (Greenbean Press, NYC:1999). Peter Sanders holds a M.L.A. from St. John's College in Annapolis, MD and is currently a Master's degree candidate in English at SUNY-Buffalo. A cat named Spoon manages his affairs. Neither he nor Spoon can juggle.

Temenuga Dencheva Trifonova is an aspiring unpromising poet of exceptionally latent potential. She likes to spend her time pondering wrongly formulated metaphysical questions and savoring the certain unavailability of answers. Her poetic persona remains strictly undetermined and unpermeated by spirit in the hegelian sense of the word. It is apparent that she thinks she is so big, almost Real.

Arkady Yanishevsky holds a Ph.D. from Brown in Slavic Languages. His publishing credits include "Times of Turmoil: An Anthology of Soviet and Emigre Writers" (Hermitage Press, 1994) and two forthcoming collections of poetry, "Pushkin and Lermontov: Selected Poetry" and "Vladimir Mayakovsky: Selected Poetry". Arkady also is the New England regional champion for spitting watermelon seeds. He is currently collaborating with his toe, Shumaki, on a sandals commercial.
