This May Sixth

gravity comes to me
this day

tugging at bent tubes

cracked vat or basin meaning bladder
equals the constant
blood

driving home when the vast hit
how the stars indeed are four years behind
four years worth of twinkle
radiating through it

her toes (green polish): this little sun
eight days behind

praying she'll ask me to dance
and when she holds out her hand
i smile but shake my head no
like I'm unaviable or embarrassed
stupid feet or something

if she ever kisses me

i'll be terrified

at the prospect of being actually

alive

feeling for that moment
not worried about gravity
kiss back

if she never kisses me

heavy fog
this may sixth
swirling

(i'm inside)

years behind
