The Marks Family Writing Center is proud to welcome this year's WRIT 135: Peer Tutor
Training alums to the Writing Tutor Staff of Fall 2014! To become a writing tutor,
students must be nominated by their writing instructor and meet a rigorous set of criteria.
From an average of 70 nominations (out of approximately 1,300 students in the seminars),
between 10 and 16 students are selected each semester. Upon completion of WRIT 135: Peer
Tutor Training and Fieldwork, these students join the tutoring staff at the Center.
Drawn from the sciences, engineering, management, and the humanities, our tutors are
ready to assist students from across the disciplines and schools.
