Isabella Cuan, writing tutor and sophomore in the College, awarded the John Thouron Summer Prize

Isabella Cuan, a writing tutor and sophomore in the College, has been awarded the John Thouron Summer Prize, along with eight other students from Penn, Harvard, and Yale. An undergraduate extension of the prestigious graduate Thouron Award, the prize funds two months of summer study at the University of Cambridge in the Pembroke-King’s Programme. The Thouron family is known for its generous commitment to trans-Atlantic academic exchange, providing graduates and undergraduates with a unique British cultural experience. As Thouron scholars, recipients pursue a course of study, which includes an independent supervision, and attend a seminar series with Sir Roger Tomkys, the former Master of Pembroke College and previous ambassador to Bahrain and Syria.
