Jacqui Sadashige, Advanced Lecturer in Critical Writing/Cultural Studies and staff member of the Philadelphian Asian American Film Festival, last week moderated a Master of None screening and roundtable at the Asian Arts Initiative in Center City. Master (Netflix) stars Aziz Ansari as a struggling 30-something Asian-American actor in New York. The incisive new comedy has won stellar reviews. Sadashige, who earned her Ph.D. in Classical Studies at Penn, teaches a Critical Writing Seminar about minorities in the media.
