Student Jennifer Tran publishes Op-Ed ‘Why do People Hate Street Art?’

Jennifer Tran, a Wharton freshman in Katherine Kramer’s ‘Street Art’ Critical Writing Seminar, recently had an Op-Ed she wrote for class published in the odyssey, a site for and run by college students.

In ‘Why do People Hate Street Art?,’ Tran writes that street art “has to power to promote democracy, transform space, and make people feel like they are a part of the urban space…they inhabit.” Kramer, a Senior Fellow in Fine Arts, says she encouraged all her students to submit their op-eds to their selected publications.
