Amy Brown, Advanced Lecturer in Critical Writing/Anthropology, co-authored an op-ed in the Philadelphia Daily News April 11 with Encarna Rodriguez, a professor in St. Joseph’s University School of Education.
In the piece, the duo advocates abolishing Philadelphia’s controversial School Reform Commission (SRC). Brown, author of ‘A Good Investment? Philanthropy and the Marketing of Race in an Urban Public School,’ is a supporting member of the Caucus of Working Educators, a local advocacy group comprised of public-school teachers.
