Hear from a past RealArts Intern!

Clare Menzel was the 2015 RealArts Intern for Flathead Beacon. After her summer in Montana, she was offered a job at Flathead overseeing the online growth of the magazine, Flathead Living, writing for both the paper and the print magazine, assisting with the launch of an annual travel magazine about Glacier National Park, and also doing some copywriting work for the marketing department. Clare is now Flathead Beacon’s copywriter. Reflecting on her time as Flathead’s intern, Clare had nothing, but positive remarks to stay:

“The editor and staff here [are] wonderful. In terms of organization, it's one of the best internships I've ever had—I wrote almost every day and was given both enough responsibility to be challenged and grow significantly as a writer, as well as the space to take initiative and prove myself.”
