"I haven't participated in any Penn-related alumni activities since I graduated. I have you [Dr. Filreis] to thank for bringing me back. Dr. Filreis w as a terrific moderator and facilitator for our passionate and wonderfully unruly discussion of Jon Avnet's THE UPRISING. I will definitely continue to take online courses with the Kelly Writers House. It's a great forum to connect with other alumni. But best of all, it's a great way to reconnect with the dynamic intellectual atmosphere that made my years at Penn so memorable and important."
