Dear M: I’ve unlocked the door
and found a bag of turkey for lunch.
In the kitchen you’ll find
leftover cheeses – stoned crackers
a pot of why bother coffee.

On the counter is the list
with enough jobs
for you to keep busy
today -- just follow the list –
confirm the dinner order.

Plenty of Indian food should
arrive at five –
I don’t know whether we’ll need
more cheese. Someone probably
should man the office —
