Dickinson, Emily (Elizabeth)
(b. Dec. 10, 1830, Amherst, Mass., U.S.--d. May 15, 1886, Amherst),
U.S. lyric poet who has been called "the New England mystic" and who
experimented with poetic rhythms and rhymes. Almost all her poetry was
published posthumously.
