Millenium Lyric, like much of the work I'm doing now, is quite 'interactive'. In fact with this piece there isn't anything at all unless you click it into and out of being. Creating works that others create interests me. It is doubly fun in that I make them and then I make them. The first making is probably more fun and challenging than the second. And we accept that when we visit these sorts of works. But it is different, the second, because there is a kind of making together in it. In a different way than a written poem, although that is a making together too if anything at all. I call these pieces animisms, which I think of as kinetic poetry with soul.
And this piece is for Mary Knox who has a thing for circles and who showed me all about them. Happy Valentine's day, all, may you make or be made (or both), such as is your pleasure and passion.
