April 6, 2007 8:00 PM Marko Niemi (the Marko Niemi), in the “In Another’s Voice” series at nokturno.org, has put up recordings of my readings of two classical Fnnish poems by Eino Leino (the Eino Leino, 1878-1926): “Tuulikannel” and “Sykko”. As Herra Nutz has been quick to imply, I may be working for a grander re-evaluation of (a new view at) the great old tingeltangel-man – as expanded a bit in this new plan for a book of essays on Finnish poetical tradition by me. Digging myself deeper in the folds of my local backyard has been one reason for my ample absence lately – but not the only one, as witnessed by my writing this at rue de la Glaciére, 13e arrondissement, Paris, France, for reasons I will be slow to reveal, though…
