All The Pretty Horses has a great knife-fighting scene.  He does violence very well, but all his characters tend towards a kind of laconic speaking style.  It can become repetitive.  &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;I don&#39;t have much apetite for it, but Walcott&#39;s poetry is very impressive.
