His style and approach to his craft underwent significant changes over time.  Socked into the Irish mists in his youth, by middle age he was addressing nationalism and violence.  He got consistently better.  Few poets do this. Sure, there&amp;#39;s history, but it&amp;#39;s not moving neatly and/or progressively.
