Or how he would have lasted had Du Plessis been his mentor instead of Pound.  My guess is that there wouldn&#39;t be any Charles Olson, just as there aren&#39;t any great male poets associated with these two teachers nearing the ends of their respective careers.  They crushed, rather than nourished.
