Sooner Than Thought
Yesterday, in theatre, prepped, wired and needled up, two surgeons ready, everything cancelled as heart, lung, blood-pressure monitors showed too-high risk of major stroke.
So to change gear: I see it’s sixty years today since the death of one of my favourite pianists.
