Hadi Saleh, the International Secretary of the Iraqi Federation of Workers’ Trade Unions was imprisoned for four years, sentenced to death, then exiled by Saddam Hussein.
Two days ago he was seized in his bed, burned, tortured, strangled and then shot by the “Iraqi Resistance”.

It arrived yesterday, out of the blue (that so many could keep so quiet for so long is impressive alone) and Val and I are deeply touched by the work, the thought and the care.
