Reprise
For almost five years I’ve been putting on this page half-hour chunks of music I’ve been recently listening to. I still get occasional emails asking what the files are and how to listen to them. There are several possibilities:
(a) to the right of this page, under the GMAIL icon, is a small player; click the play arrow at the bottom right and you should hear the latest recording and then cycle through previous ones. Further down the right hand menu is a button saying Play Channel Now which will open a window with links to all previous entries: you can select and play any particular one. Unfortunately these only work when this particular browser page is open, so
(b) you can click, at the bottom of the entry, on the “Direct download” link. On some systems this will open a separate, usually Quicktime, window whence you can play the file, or
(c) you can save the file to your hard-drive and then open it in any mp3 player
(d) you can go to the libsyn site where all the files are archived

and download or listen to any of more than 100 past entries
(e) you can subscribe to the RSS feed

or you can even
(f) subscribe to the feed in iTunes
1. In iTunes, choose Advanced > Subscribe to Podcast
2. Enter http://elanecu.libsyn.com/rss in the window
3. Save.
Each new entry will be added to your iTunes library.
And that’s about it.
