Thanks to the generosity of the Critical Writing Program's faculty, tutors, and staff, along with a substantial last-minute contribution from the fraternity OZ, the Critical Writing Program was able to "adopt" a deserving family of nine and provide a lovely Christmas for this mom and her children, ranging from 6 months to 11 years old. The program is sponsored by the Penn Volunteers in Public Service, and is done in lieu of departmental gift exchanges. Families are selected from the Carroll Park Community Council's Housing Program and Baring House Crisis Nursery.
