The house provides a unique experience and community and closeness at Penn, and it also provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity to undergraduates. How many ways are there, in any university, for undergraduates to create and design programs and guest series and readings? To run these programs themselves, and under the creative mentorship of experienced artists and teachers? I think it is important to remember that one of the most incredible things about our house, is that it is OUR house-- all of us-- even undergrads, who maybe never new they had the idea for a lecture series or writing workshop in them.--Caitlin Roper, '99
