ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

 
Beandrea Davis is a photographer and writer interested in using art to promote greater social justice in our world. She is the 2004-05 Junior Fellow at the Kelly Writers House at the University of Pennsylvania and a recipient of a 5-County Arts Fund Grant from the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance. Rooted in the belief that creating images with a camera or a pen is an inherently political act, she is interested in documenting individuals and communities who live on the margins of our society. Her work has been exhibited at the Writers House, University City Arts League, and the Fox Art Gallery at the University of Pennsylvania.
