4:00-8:00PM: Dystopia! at the Writers House. Join the audience as we tape the second episode of this new music radio show to be aired in the spring on WXPN 88.5 FM.

Keady is a first-time novelist and author of Celibates and Other Lovers (MacMurray & Beck). Keady's visit is sponsored by the Penn and Pencil Club, a creative writing workshop for Penn and Health System staff.

7:00-7:30PM: The Writers House on Kid's Corner at WXPN 88.5 FM-- Experts from the Writers House join kids on the popular radio show Kid's Corner to explore the world of poetry. This month's collaboration between Kids Corner and the Kelly Writers House features father and son poets Bill and Ian Van Wert. They will discuss the use of myths in poetry. Bill Van Wert is a English professor at Temple University and a poet and novelist; his latest books of poems are Proper Myth and The Invention of Ice Skating. Ian Van Wert is a senior English major, with a specialization in poetry, at the University of Pennsylvania.
7:00PM: Talking Film, a film screening and discussion with local filmmaker Ernie Vecchione. Room 202.
7:00PM: Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity hosts an open mic performance as part of Alpha Week, in the Arts Cafe.

7:00PM: Philly Talks presents experimental poets Ron Silliman and Jeff Derkson in a reading and dialogue. Dinner to follow.

Alumni Writers and School of Arts and Sciences host a visit by Loretta Barrett, Penn alumna and literary agent.

3:30PM Workshop: Barrett will host a workshop for writers and people interested in publishing as a career. Come talk informally with Barrett about how to publish your work and how to work as a literary agent.
