Editor's Transcription

she said:
remember the bro
brick
house we lived in when you
girls were sleeping in the up
stairs by the little room you
called teh nursery?

I went up there one day
no one was home it was the middle
of the afternoon
I was
standing by the nursery
door when I saw a
woman
behind me
there

a coal room
& a strange room that was all
covered in silver sheets
of metal like a meat
locker

one room had a quilting wire

in the house the doors
could be left closed

but when we returned

the doors were

always open
