KWH-TV
view live video
View live video of Writers House events through KWH-TV: readings, seminars, recording sessions, happenings, the whole range. By simply logging in from home or work, you can check out what's happening here.
We broadcast most evening events, and some daytime events, too. Visit our calendar for our current schedule. Events at the Writers House generally start on time, or nearly so. We will, at least, be sure to turn on the camera at the appointed start time so that you'll know something will start soon.
When it's time for the program to start, simply click here!
Don't forget that many of our KWH-TV programs are archived and can be viewed on-demand in KWH-TV reruns.
technical help
error message
Important: If you click "view live video" before the KWH-TV broadcast is scheduled to start, you may see an error message inside the QuickTime box. This error message usually says something like "404 File Not Found." Don't worry — you haven't done anything wrong. This error means that the KWH-TV camera has not yet been turned on. If you tune in later, you should be able to view the live video.
computer requirements
To tune in to live audio and video of KWH events, you will need to have Apple's free QuickTime Player installed on your computer. QuickTime Player is available for both Macs and PCs. You may already have QuickTime installed. To check, click here. If you see the "QuickTime successfully installed" icon and the animated QuickTime logo to the right, you're all set. If not, visit the official QuickTime download page and follow Apple's instructions to install or reinstall QuickTime.
sound delays
Occasionally, server speeds will introduce lag-time between audio and video. It's likely not a problem with your computer — and there is no way to correct the problem. If you experience lag-time, consider simply listening! The sound quality should still be fine.
