At long last curry has collected his poetry into a single volume: most of it is from the 1980's, much of it previously published in scattered journals and broadsides. Having his work together is a great pleasure, as it reveals a distinct intelligence at work, combining, often in the same poem, a lively concern with visuality, deliberate processes of thought, and a zen-like delight in the ineffable juxtapositions of words. The poems range in length from one word to a full page, and many are collaborations with other writers. An essential collection.--John M. Bennett
