Paul Semel, Executive Editor. This premiere issue is 90% poetry, centered around the personalities and egos of the five editors. Typical litmag stuff, but the lack of editorial objectivity makes for shaky quality; it's mostly cookie-cutter confessional stuff written from the unremarkable viewpoints of middle-class guys in their late twenties. The last third of the magazine, though, improves with fresher voices from outside the editorial circle.--Roger-Kyle Keith
