As the forward in this chapbook accurately foretells, Arden Tice's poems don't just say something; they sing. They is a gorgeous sound to her language running through the chapbook, and even pedestrian events and metaphors come off sounding extraordinary. The pacing is equally adept, and there's nary a break to the flow. And it's hard to fault a poet who can write a poem about Kurasowa without sounding like a parody of a Kurasowa script!--Roger-Kyle Keith
