Repetition and incantation on "mitigate" and "unmitigate" create a screen of sound in the heart of this chapbook. Visual arrangements tempt the reader to read out of sequence, and to form and re-form the text. Disjunctive syntax suggests language's potential to transmute and transform.--Susan Smith Nash
