The full-color cover reproduction of one of Cross's dictionary-page treatments alone is worth ten times the price of this catalog of an 1993 Santa Fe exhibition of her work--at least to those interested in visual poetry, for she was one of the century's masters of the genre. But the volume also contains numerous other excellent reproductions of her works as well as an excellent introduction to it, and her, by Jim Edwards, and a wonderfully poem-filled appreciation by Gerald Burns.--Bob Grumman
