In this new collection Todd's words ring as loud as ever, while the chapbook itself is a thing of beauty--hand sewn binding, wrap-around cover, handset type so perfect and on the mark that if feels like a collector's item you'd want to pass on to your grandchildren--that is, until you start reading about blood and guts and lust, suicides and murders, alcoholic psychosis, brass knuckles and blackjacks, and generally a world you would most like to hide from your children if you had half a chance. This is pure hardcore violence and libido schizophrenia, and some of the best work I've read since, well, Todd's last book.--Oberc
