This anthology, 49+1 nouveaux poètes américains selected by Emmanuel Hocquard and Claude Royet-Journoud (forty nine American poets plus one, Asa Benveniste, born in the United States but who lived and died in England), gathers writers born in the 40's, 50's and 70's, whose work (except for five of them) started being published in the late 70's, in the 80's and the very beginning of the 90's. Some of the poems translated in this book were still unpublished in the United States when it came out in France. |
