This open mic night features performances by the incoming class – so bring your poetry, your guitar, or your latest flash fiction to share! You’ll have three minutes at the podium to do your thing (with no need to sign up ahead of the event). We’ll have a couple extra mics in case you have instruments or want to perform as a group. You're also welcome to come just to listen, meet classmates, and check out the Writers House.

Want to get involved with projects at the Kelly Writers House? Come to the Kelly Writers House Activities Fair to learn about student-led Writers House activities and initiatives, including magazines, writing groups, film production, and more. You can meet student leaders and representatives from many groups, likely to include: Bent Button, The Body Electric, Curiouser, Doublespeak, The Excelano Project, F-Word, the Fiber Arts Circle, the James Baldwin Reading Group (the Lotus Collective), Letters Against Depression, Pen to Paper, Penn Moviegoer, Penn Appetit, Penn Review, The Woodlands, and other magazines and groups.
