Brief bio: Born in Scotland and graduated from the Universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde; a physical chemist who has spent the last 30 years at Penn.

Poems published in such esoteric journals as Bulletin of the Materials Research Society, NATAS Notes(Journal of the North American Thermal Analysis Society) Frontispiece of the Proceedings of the International Conference on Solid State Ionics, Grenoble, France, and the Chronicle of the St. Andrew's Society of Philadelphia.
