How to Suggest a Show in the Writers House Art Gallery

Writers House Art Gallery Curator Peter Schwarz reviews and considers submissions and proposals from artists who are interested in exhibiting their work at Writers House.

Exhibitions take place at Writers House during the academic year, from September through May, are typically one month long, and include a reception at some point during the month. We are especially interested in the work of emerging artists. The Writers House is not a professional gallery, but an actual house that serves as a program place and meeting space for people interested in the arts in general and in writing specifically. Rotating and temporary exhibits are featured in the dining room, living room, alcove and Arts Cafe. Please see the exhibition guidelines and dimensions in order to find out more about the space here. Check out the rest of the Writers House website, too, in order to get a sense of the many programs and conversations that take place in these rooms.

Please send your proposal, including slides or some other visual images of your work, to Peter Schwarz at the address below. Please do not send original artwork. We look forward to hearing from you!
