- 5:00PM: David Ferry, poet and translator, will be reading at
Penn as a guest of the Creative Writing department. Ferry is the
author of four books of poetry, the most recent of which is Dwelling
Places published by University of Chicago Press. He is known as well
for his distinguished translation of Gilgamesh (Farrar Straus &
Giroux, 1992) and the forthcoming Odes of Horace (FS&G).
He is an honorary fellow of the Academy of American Poets.
