Eric Mottram Centennial Collection

The following recordings are the collection of poet, editor, critic, and teacher Eric Mottram, gathered for the 100th anniversary of his birth. The first section of the collection contains recordings of poetry readings and lectures given by Mottram. The further sections of the collection contain Mottram's recordings of the poetry readings, lectures, and classes of others. Notably, Mottram's collection contains Beat poets (including Allen Ginsberg, Lawrence Ferlinghetti), New York School poets (Frank O'Hara, John Ashbery), Black Mountain Poets (Robert Creeley, Charles Olson, and Robert Duncan) and many recordings of Mottram's good friend Jerome Rothenberg. It also contains the only known recording of New York University's Beat Conference held in 1994.
